Northeast Cement Shippers Association

The Northeast Cement Shippers Association (NECSA) is a not-for-profit cement industry promotion/market development organization. It is one of ten regional promotion groups (RPG’s) in the United States. It is the regional affiliate of the Portland Cement Association. However, it is controlled by its own Board of Directors and has its own By-Laws. NECSA’s mission is to support and facilitate the promotion of cement and cement-based materials and applications in the Northeast. NECSA is committed to carrying out this mission in partnership with national and local promotion groups, for the benefit of all stakeholders. This is accomplished in partnership with “Partners in Promotion” throughout the Northeastern United States. NECSA is divided into four geographic areas. Area 1 includes Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington DC. Area 2 includes Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island. Area 3 includes all remaining counties of New York. Area 4 includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

NECSA's "Partners in Promotion" include thirty-seven local ready mixed concrete, precast/prestressed concrete, concrete pipe, concrete pavement and concrete masonry promotion groups. NECSA invests the “time, talent and treasure” of its staff and member company personnel to help establish and support local promotion programs. NECSA identifies “best practices” for market segment promotion throughout the region and the United States and helps implement them to increase the effectiveness of local promotion.
